ProEXR is a plug-in suite that brings comprehensive OpenEXR (HDR) support to Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. It reads and writes multilayer/multipass EXR files, preserves channel and layer names, and handles 16‑ and 32‑bit floating‑point color for high‑dynamic‑range workflows. In Photoshop, ProEXR opens EXR files as organized layer groups for easy inspection and retouching of individual passes; in After Effects, it imports EXR sequences into ready-to-comp structures and can export renders back to EXR with your chosen compression and metadata intact. The plug-ins respect linear color management, maintain auxiliary channels such as alpha, depth, normals, and motion vectors, and offer compression and bit-depth options suited to modern VFX and animation pipelines. ProEXR streamlines the exchange of renders between 3D tools and compositing, keeping all AOVs in a single, portable file while retaining precision and performance.
